Read the first error and preserve previously committed files before retrying. Browser permissions, source selection and storage failures are different problems and should not be handled by repeatedly pressing Start.
How to use it
- No sound: check actual source indicators, OS microphone permission and whether the source picker supplied shared audio. Make a new short test.
- Queue growth or automatic pause: use a faster local disk, free space, lower bitrate and avoid cloud-synced or slow removable folders. A timeout ends the session rather than allowing unlimited buffering.
- Incomplete file: inspect earlier committed segments. Reauthorize a new recording; do not assume metadata can reconstruct missing encoded bytes.
Limits and safety
Do not refresh an active recording as a troubleshooting step. If the source ends or browser stops sharing, capture is not silently re-established. For a support report, include browser/OS versions, mode, MIME type and error category, not private recordings or directory contents.

A practical test
Change one thing at a time and repeat a short sample. For missing sound, identify which source is absent; for saving failures, note the error and inspect previously finalized files. Avoid refreshing during finalization just to dismiss a warning. When asking for help, share the browser version, operating system and non-sensitive error text, not private recordings or unrestricted access to your device.
