Microphone recording on mobile
This mobile version records microphone audio only. For screen recording or shared/system audio, use a compatible desktop browser.
Audio is temporarily saved in this browser. Export each completed segment using Download or Share → Save to Files. Clearing site data or private browsing can remove recordings.
Keep this page visible and your device awake. Switching apps or locking the screen triggers a stop attempt, but may interrupt saving. Export promptly; browser storage is not a backup.
Desktop recording
The chosen directory receives a unique session subfolder. Each segment has a timestamp and sequence number. IndexedDB holds lightweight session and segment metadata only; it does not store a duplicate video or preserve screen-capture permission.
How to use it
- Choose a folder you can locate later and verify free disk space.
- After Stop & save, wait for Completed. Find files in the displayed subfolder and open them with a compatible player.
- There is no in-app history or playback list. Inspect completed desktop files in the chosen folder. Export completed mobile recordings before reloading or leaving; reopening does not provide a history export entry. The active segment may be incomplete after a crash.
Limits and safety
File System Access implementations may use temporary files and commit them on close. A crash or power loss can prevent the active file from appearing or leave unusable content. Clearing browser storage removes the metadata list, not your saved files. Recovery does not repair media, locate moved files, or resume capture silently.

Check the result, not just the controls
A practical test
After a trial session, locate the actual session folder and open its files in your intended player. Do not treat a remembered folder handle as a backup or permission to restart capture. On mobile, download or share each completed segment and confirm the exported copy exists outside the site. Copy valuable recordings to another trusted location after they have been finalized.
